As a pioneer in forest certification, the Forest Stewardship Council® sets the standard for responsible forest management. This is by far the most well-known certification for products with forestry origins. The certification pays attention to people, animals and the environment. Van Nifterik is independently audited to ensure compliance with the principles and criteria of FSC®. These are 10 criteria ranging from ecosystem conservation to employee social welfare. Forest management and monitoring are the core issues of FSC®, with the guarantee that the source of the products is responsible and transparent. FSC® is a trade chain certification that tracks raw materials throughout the supply chain. This requires rigorous audits and proper paperwork at every link in the chain.
