Van Nifterik has a rich history. In fact, our roots are more than 50 years old. Around 1969, Van Nifterik Senior started as a fruit grower, trading in tree poles, used as support for fruit trees. His dedication ensured that "Van Nifteriks' Palenhandel" became a household name both in the Netherlands and abroad.

In 1994, Van Nifteriks' Palenhandel continued as Van Nifterik Holland B.V. under the leadership of Alex van Nifterik. In the same year Alex visited the area in China where bamboo grows. This ignated his love for bamboo. Back in the Netherlands, bamboo was used as plant support. Van Nifterik grew into a specialist in support materials for horticulture, arboriculture and fruit growing.

Between 2008 and 2015, Van Nifterik was also active in Ukraine, particularly in the fruit growing and tree nursery sectors. In 2015, this business was transferred to Ukrainian management. They aim to engage with local Ukrainian fruit farms.

In 2015, Van Nifterik sold its fruit growing and tree nursery departments to Van Wesemael. This created space within Van Nifterik to focus and grow in the horticultural sector.

In December 2020, Van Nifterik was acquired by Van Wesemael. A future-oriented step that gives both companies new opportunities for further growth. The daily management of Van Nifterik will be in the hands of Dikkie van Nifterik.

We want to share our experience with environmentally friendly products, production methods, logistical optimization and efficient business processes. Our mission is therefore to provide our customers worldwide with the best plant support. We will also always keep looking for ways to do our work even better than we already did. Growing better together, that is our aim. Together with our customers, together with our colleagues in China but also together with our sister companies within the Wesemael Group.
